1Board of Director: Pulse Radio has a dedicated board of 5 directors, they are all volunteers, having the same goal, which is to bring community radio to the Cheddar valley and surrounding areas of Somerset. They each bring a wealth of knowledge within their own spheres of work expertise, this has helped establish Pulse Radio to have clearly defined policies to ensure that the maximum potential of a community radio station for the area can be realised for the better of all within the area.
2Management Committee: Under the remit of the board of directors Pulse Radio has a volunteer Management Committee, they are responsible for the stations direction and involvement within the local communities. The 8 committee members represent a diverse age range of the local community, the youngest are only 16 while the more mature are 65+, they all wish to see their communities benefit from better representation.
3Station Volunteers: Like all community radio stations, Pulse Radio would not exist without the dedicated involvement of its local volunteers. Pulse Radio are very lucky to have so many willing members of the public looking to support the community in which they live. Members are involved in all aspects of the station from behind the scenes support, administration, fund raising to front-end show presentation.
Below is a list of the core commitments of Pulse Radio.
As Pulse Radio is run and supported by volunteers one of the concerns of the board of directors is that no member is put under stress from their involvement with the station, the following is what potential members can expect from their involvement in Pulse Radio.
